The Role

FundThrough is looking for a Sr. Talent Generalist to join our team. The 12 month contract will involve a combination of covering our Director of Talent and Operations 6 month parental leave, and working as a team with her to build upon our existing Talent strategies as we grow.  We are on an exciting journey across functions to mature our products, processes and customer journey. This is a great opportunity to contribute to scaling and building upon established Talent practices within a strong team focused culture.  The ideal candidate has “full-stack” Talent experience including with traditional HR practices, full cycle recruitment and team engagement,  with a strong emphasis on culture.  They are highly collaborative, self-motivated and comfortable working in hybrid as a solo Talent professional as well as within a small team.

Note re Covid-19: We are currently working fully remotely. Once safe to do so, adhering to the highest level of public health advice, we will shift back to our “more in than out” policy for team members located within the GTA, with an average 3 days/week being in-office and 2 days/week offering the flexibility to work from anywhere.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage “full-stack” Talent/HR function including traditional HR practices (benefits, policies etc.), full cycle recruitment and team engagement. 
  • Create and support initiatives that encourage a strong culture fostering diversity, inclusion and belonging within a fun team environment.  
  • Work collaboratively with managers at all levels on hiring, training, team dynamics etc.-  including facilitating our monthly PeoplePeople Group for people managers across all functions.  
  • Act as a resource to all FundThrough’ers on matters related to policies, maximizing productive working relationships within and between teams and individuals, personal career development and more. 

Required Skills

Required Skills

  • 3+ years generalist experience working in all aspects of Talent/HR (within a scaling and/or technology organization is an asset).
  • Passion for full cycle recruitment including sourcing, interviewing and onboarding.
  • Proven track record of creating excellent candidate and employee experiences.
  • Strong team player with experience working with cross functional teams.
  • Good understanding of Canadian HR practices (familiarity with US policies is an asset).
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Enjoy working on multiple concurrent projects and pride yourself on being self-driven, highly motivated, resourceful and creative.
