The Head of Risk Management will work closely with our Chief Risk Officer (co-founder) leading a team to build and optimize our risk-management strategies surrounding credit, fraud and factoring / funding risk. Lead a team to build and optimize our risk-management strategies: credit risk; fraud risk; and factoring / funding risk.Develop and implement appropriate risk-management policies and procedures with Factoring Operations leadership and Chief Risk Officer (currently a co-founder).Engage and collaborate with AI / Data Science and Data teams to develop models that drive our processes wherever possible.Ensure appropriate human underwriting / intervention as needed in the onboarding, monitoring, client nurturing and collections processes.Work with Product / Engineering and Factoring Operations teams to identify and use external data and APIs to drive our effectiveness and efficiency.Leverage stakeholders across Factoring Operations, Data Science / AI, Product / Engineering, Marketing, Sales and Client Success to ensure strategies are app
7+ years experience in financial services risk management, with direct experience around SMB lending – ideally, across multiple aspects of the customer journey (i.e., onboarding, underwriting, monitoring, collections); and involving both credit and fraud risk.Experience in developing and implementing credit / fraud risk strategy, policies, procedures, scorecards, exposure controls, mitigation campaigns, etc.Quantitative background in engineering, statistics, math, economics, business or related disciplines. Strong believer in test and learn; building and driving a data driven culture.Proven track record of working collaboratively with colleagues across a broad range of functions (including product, engineering, data science, sales and marketing) as well as experience presenting to senior leadership teams. Proven experience as a team lead and/or manager; willingness/desire to grow into a senior management role over time.Strong project leadership and project management skills, including setting and meeting clear targets and deadlines; and managing expectations among multiple stakeholders. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and dealing with ambiguity.Prior consulting experience a plus.
